In short

The design department of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, part of the University of Kassel, teaches industrial design, furniture and exhibition design and textile product design. The previous Product Design programme led to a Diplom; from the 2026/27 winter semester applicants enter a new Design (B.A.) programme. The school has 14 study workshops, among them wood, metal, plastics, textiles and ceramics, with looms and knitting machines.
