Kunsthøjskolen i Holbæk is a state-recognised Danish folk high school for the arts, housed since 1963 in the old Holbæk Slots Ladegård; the school says it was the first of its kind in Denmark. Its long courses and summer courses cover a broad range of artistic disciplines taught by professional artists, including a jewellery workshop, where students learn techniques and make their own pieces, and a ceramics workshop working mainly in stoneware and porcelain. The school also helps students prepare application portfolios for art academies and architecture and design schools.
