The LAB Institute of Design and Fine Arts is the design and fine arts unit of LAB University of Applied Sciences at its Lahti campus; it states that it is the largest bachelor-level design educator in Finland and that it carries on the traditions of the Lahti Institute of Design and the Imatra School of Fine Arts. Bachelor's studies taught in Finnish specialise in product design, interior architecture and furniture design, wearable design, visual design, digital experience design, photography and fine arts, and there are English-taught programmes in innovation and design and in sustainable design business. Studies are built around real assignments and projects with local and international companies.
