L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, established in 2012 with the support of Van Cleef & Arpels, has a permanent campus in Hong Kong at K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui, in a space designed by the architect Sou Fujimoto. The Hong Kong campus offers year-round courses, talks and exhibitions open to the general public, with gemology classrooms, design workshops and a library; its activities cover the history of jewellery, the world of gemstones and jewellery-making savoir-faire, such as high-jewellery gouache and design mock-ups. The school states that the campus is closed for renovation from 12 October and will reopen at the end of November.
