The School of Fine Arts and Design of Leshan Normal University, in Leshan (Sichuan), grew from the art department of the Leshan teachers' college founded in 1986 and took its present name in 2022. It offers undergraduate programmes in fine arts, calligraphy, visual communication design, environmental design and product design; the product design programme trains students in the design and making of craft products, models and samples, including tourism products.
