In short
Liaoning Normal College of Special Education (辽宁特殊教育师范高等专科学校) is a higher college in the Hunnan district of Shenyang under the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education; it grew out of a training centre for blind and deaf people set up in 1986 and has carried its present name since 2013. Its programmes are designed for the employment of students with visual, hearing and physical disabilities as well as other students. The Art Department lists a three-year secondary programme in arts and crafts for students with hearing or mild physical disabilities, with courses in wood carving, ceramic forming and firing, and metal jewellery design and making, alongside art design and painting and calligraphy programmes.
