The art high school of the State Institute of Higher Education 'Francesco Degni' in Torre del Greco, near Naples, has a Design track in metals, goldsmithing and coral. Students learn engraving, chasing, casting, rolling and wire drawing, wax modelling and stone setting, study the history of the applied arts and of past goldsmithing, and make prototypes of artistic objects in precious and non-precious metals. The institute also runs a vocational course in industry and crafts for Made in Italy with a fashion focus, a human sciences high school and a technical course in tourism.
