In short
Guangdong Lingnan Institute of Technology is a private higher vocational college with campuses in Guangzhou and Qingyuan, approved by the Guangdong provincial government in May 2001; it grew out of a technical school started in 1993. Its main fields are health, electronics and manufacturing, business and the arts. The School of Digital Media and Art offers garment design and craft alongside interior, environmental and advertising design, and its fashion teaching unit takes students on study visits to the Guangzhou-Qingyuan textile park.
