In short
Litorina folkhögskola is a folk high school in Gullberna Park, five kilometres north of central Karlskrona, with a profile on the countries around the Baltic Sea. Its boatbuilding line (Båtbyggarlinjen), full time for one to six terms, teaches traditional wooden boatbuilding, above all the clinker technique, with carvel-built boats possible in the advanced terms; students start with a toolbox and a simple flat-bottomed boat, then build or restore a traditional wooden boat of their own. The school also runs a general course with a boat-craft focus and evening courses in boat joinery and in furniture-making and interiors.
