In short

The School of Industrial Design is part of LTH, the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, and is housed in the Ingvar Kamprad Design Centre (IKDC), a building completed in 2002 thanks to a donation from the Kamprad foundation. It offers a three-year bachelor's programme in industrial design (180 credits, leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts), with admission only by an entrance test, and a master's programme in industrial design. The programme combines artistic and technical work across the whole process from idea to finished product; the school receives half of its funding from Lund University and half from the IKEA Foundation.
