In short
The Lycée professionnel Bertrand Du Guesclin in Auray, in Brittany, is a public vocational school that describes itself as the only «lycée des métiers d'art» of the Rennes education authority. Founded in 1946 in the former Du Guesclin barracks in the town centre, it moved in 1962 to a five-hectare site in neighbouring Brech. Its craft courses cover wood (CAP and BMA in cabinetmaking, CAP in ornamental wood carving), furnishing upholstery (CAP in upholstery, chair and decoration options, Bac pro in upholstery) and the CAP in general saddlery, alongside visual communication courses; some are offered as apprenticeships or adult training with GRETA-CFA Bretagne Sud.
