The Lycée des métiers Jacques Brel is a public vocational lycée in Choisy-le-Roi, in the Val-de-Marne, with courses from CAP to BTS in five trade areas: motorcycle mechanics, electrical work, digital networks, cabinetmaking and joinery. Its cabinetmaking section offers the CAP Ébéniste (also as a one-year course for students who already hold a diploma), the Brevet des métiers d'art (BMA) Ébéniste and a complementary course (FCIL) in the restoration of antique furniture. The CAP teaches the traditional techniques used to make and repair furniture as single pieces or in small runs, the materials of period and contemporary furniture, and the history of furniture styles.
