In short
The Lycée des métiers Jean Jaurès is a public vocational school in Rennes whose courses cover automotive and motorcycle maintenance, electrical trades, industrial maintenance and watchmaking. Its watchmaking section, presented as craft watchmaking (repair, restoration, design), leads to a CAP and a BMA (brevet des métiers d'art) in two years, or one year after a baccalaureate, to a one-year professional qualification certificate (CQP) and to a three-year DN MADE, a national diploma in crafts and design at bachelor level. Students complete placements with professionals, and BMA students finish with a masterpiece taken from drawing through 3D design to the making of the parts.
