In short
The Lycée des métiers Thomas Pesquet in Coutances, in the Manche department of Normandy, was formed by the merger of the La Roquelle and Les Sapins lycées and teaches building, fashion and service trades from CAP to BTS level, at school, through apprenticeship and in continuing education. Its fashion and clothing courses, at the Les Sapins site on rue des Courtilles, include a one-year CAP in leather goods, a one-year CAP in millinery, a CAP in dressmaking (vêtement flou) and a Bac pro in sewing and garment making. The leather goods CAP covers bags, wallets, luggage and belts, with an introduction to the history of fashion and accessories; the millinery CAP trains makers of men's and women's hats in felt, straw, fabric and fur. The school states it is the only one in western France to offer the leather goods CAP in one year.
