In short
The Lycée Diderot is a public polyvalent lycée in Paris (19th arrondissement, rue David d'Angers) for industrial engineering and watchmaking. Its watchmaking school runs from the CAP and the BMA in watchmaking to a three-year DN MADe, with five workshops and two rooms dedicated to the craft; students work on pieces from wristwatches to monumental clocks, in both repair and restoration. In the final year of the DN MADe students choose between designing new timekeeping concepts and restoring clocks, watches or mechanical devices such as automata and music boxes. The lycée states that its watchmaking track has existed since 1880; a GRETA course is offered for career changers.
