In short
The Heinlex vocational lycée in Saint-Nazaire opened in 1977, when the clothing and mechanics sections of the neighbouring technical college moved there. Most of its courses today are in chemistry, process industries and maintenance, but it also teaches the three-year Bac pro Métiers de la couture et de la confection. This course trains students to make garments and textile accessories, from interpreting a technical file and adjusting patterns to cutting, prototyping, assembly, finishing and quality control, with 20 weeks of placements over the three years.
