In short
The Maison des métiers d'art de Québec, on boulevard Charest Est in Quebec City, is a cultural organisation devoted to contemporary craft practice, with 25 workshops in ceramics, textiles and sculpture spread over seven floors. As a partner of the Cégep Limoilou, it teaches the technical courses of the college diploma (DEC) in craft techniques in three options: ceramics, textile construction and sculpture, in small groups led by practising artists and makers, with computer-assisted looms and knitting machines. It also offers leisure courses, master classes, research residencies and an incubator giving new graduates low-cost access to workshops and equipment.
