In short
Goossens is a Paris goldsmith and fashion jewellery house (parurier) founded by Robert Goossens, the son of a foundry owner in the Marais, who opened a small goldsmith's workshop in the 1950s and created Byzantine-style jewellery with Gabrielle Chanel. The house says it has been designing and making jewellery and furniture since 1950; today its artisans make jewellery and decorative objects such as mirrors and lamps for fashion houses, designers and architects. Its parure and casting workshops are at le19M in Paris, the site created by CHANEL in 2021 for its Maisons d'art, which CHANEL describes as a place of creation and transmission; Goossens joined CHANEL's Métiers d'art in 2005.
