Maltepe University, on its Marmara Eğitim Köyü campus in the Maltepe district of Istanbul, teaches two programmes of interest here. The Ship and Yacht Design department of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, founded in 2009, is a bachelor's programme covering the design of ships, yachts and other vessels, including styling and interior design, with basic engineering knowledge.
