The Salihli Vocational School of Manisa Celal Bayar University opened in 1993 in the centre of Salihli and moved in 1999 to its campus, now called Beş Eylül, 7 km from the town. Among its ten two-year programmes are Fashion Design and Leather Garment Making, taught in textile, fashion design, leather processing and pattern-cutting workshops. The school also offers programmes in business, computing, child development and security.
