In short
The Art and Design Training Centre (MENDIZ) is a vocational school in Kaunas, with a second site in Alytus, that opened on 1 September 1978 as the Kaunas School of Applied Arts; it absorbed the Alytus School of Fine Crafts in 2018 and took its present name in 2025. It trains for qualifications in visual arts services, the making of fine crafts, printing, media and advertising, and also offers general secondary education. Programmes include ceramist, with throwing, decorating, glazing and firing, jeweller, maker of articles in glass, metal, wood and stone or in textiles and leather, decorator, interior decorator, photographer and willow weaver.
