In short

The Mendocino Art Center is an art centre on the Northern California coast in Mendocino, founded nearly 70 years ago by Bill and Lucia Zacha on the remains of a fire-damaged estate, with a campus of studios, galleries and a theatre. It runs workshops taught by local and visiting artists on campus and online, in mediums that include clay, painting, music and writing, and offers on-site lodging for students. Its craft residencies include an eight-month ceramics residency with 24-hour access to studios equipped with electric, gas, wood and wood/soda kilns, and a five-week residency for intermediate and advanced jewelry artists.
