The Modeschule Hetzendorf is the City of Vienna's fashion school, housed in Hetzendorf Palace on Hetzendorfer Straße in the 12th district and run by the city's Department for Education and Youth (MA 13). Its five-year higher school of fashion design and product design ends with the Reife- und Diplomprüfung and offers five practical specialisations: fashion design and dressmaking, knitwear design, product design (in two separate areas, bags and accessories, and shoes), millinery and textile design. Since September 2019 the school has also offered a three-year fashion school, whose qualification is equivalent to a related apprenticeship certificate.
