In short
The Museo Atelier Giuditta Brozzetti in Perugia is a hand-weaving workshop, run as a cooperative, that is also a museum; it weaves linen, cotton, silk and other yarns on 18th-century treadle looms and 19th-century Jacquard looms. From May to September it holds individual daily or weekly hand-weaving courses on the workshop's historic looms, the same ones used for production: on treadle looms students learn the techniques of the Umbrian peasant tradition, and on Jacquard looms they can weave a damask using a 19th-century technique. Courses are by booking only and are also given in English.
