The Department of Industrial Design of National Cheng Kung University is on the university's Kuang-Fu campus in Tainan. Its teaching follows a human-centred design approach that combines aesthetics, engineering and business; undergraduates move from basic design, drawing and colour to product design, materials and manufacturing processes, industrial design and a final-year project with an off-campus internship. Master's and doctoral students work in four research groups: integrated design, human factors and interaction design, design automation and collaborative design, and cognitive and affective experience design.
