In short
The School of Design of the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), on Thomas Street in Dublin, offers undergraduate programmes in fashion design, jewellery and objects, product design and textile and surface design, alongside graphic, illustration, interaction and moving image design. In Jewellery & Objects students learn to work with precious metals as jewellers, goldsmiths and silversmiths and also experiment with non-traditional materials such as paper, textiles and plastics. The college traces its origins to 1746, when a private drawing school was taken over by the Dublin Society.
