NIFT Mumbai is one of the campuses of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, a statutory institute under India's Ministry of Textiles with its head office in New Delhi; according to the institute's chronology, this campus was established in 1995. The campus offers four-year B.Des. programmes in accessory design, fashion design, knitwear design, textile design and fashion communication, as well as a B.F.Tech. in apparel production; at postgraduate level it offers the Master of Design (M.Des.) and the Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.).
