The Bor Vocational School of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University is in the town of Bor, in Niğde province, central Anatolia. According to its general information page it was founded in 1992 under Selçuk University and transferred to Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in 1993; in 1998 its textile, clothing, leather, knitting and carpet programmes passed to Bor's second vocational school, Halil Zöhre Ataman. Among its mostly technical programmes is a two-year furniture and decoration programme covering basic furniture-making operations, solid-wood and panel furniture, technical drawing, ergonomics, computer-aided production, interior fittings and wood ornamentation techniques; graduates receive the title of furniture and decoration technician.
