Numedal folkehøgskole is a non-denominational folk high school in Rollag, in the Numedal valley, mainly oriented to sport; the school states that it has been a folk high school since 1906 and a sports folk high school since 1986. Its Crafts and Nature line (Håndverk og Natur) teaches historical crafts rooted in the valley's traditions: experimental iron extraction from bog ore, blacksmithing, small-scale tar burning and log building with the axe, taught at the Numedal Medieval Centre by experienced craftsmen. The line is offered as a full-year or half-year course.
