In short

OCAD University is an art and design university in downtown Toronto, at 100 McCaul Street, which the university says has been there since 1876. In its four-year Material Art & Design programme (BDes or BFA) students concentrate on jewellery, working metals with fabrication, casting and gem setting, or on textiles, with printing, weaving, knitting and embroidery, and can take electives in ceramics. The university also offers a four-year Industrial Design programme focused on research, concept development and prototype making.
