In short
Ock Pop Tok is an artisan social enterprise in Luang Prabang, founded in 2000 by Joanna Smith and Veomanee Douangdala, that works with Lao weavers. At its Living Crafts Centre on the banks of the Mekong it offers classes with master weavers and teachers, lasting from half a day to three days, in silk weaving, natural dyeing, Hmong batik, Hmong embroidery and bamboo weaving, as well as a traditional village crafts workshop. Hands-on classes began in 2006 with a one-day natural dyeing and weaving course.
