In short

Optima is a Swedish-language vocational education provider in Jakobstad, at Trädgårdsgatan 30, offering upper-secondary, further and specialist vocational qualifications, also through apprenticeship. In crafts and design it runs the artisan programme in fine woodworking, where students learn to plan, make, repair and restore wooden products by hand and by machine, with different materials and surface finishes, and an artisan programme in interiors. The fine woodworking page notes that graduates can find work, for example, with the boatbuilders of the area.
