In short

OSAO is a vocational education provider in the Oulu region with several sites, including Haukipudas, Kaukovainio, Kempele, Kontinkangas and Muhos. In crafts and design it offers the precious-metals artisan qualification, where students design and make jewellery as one-offs and small series with traditional goldsmithing methods and computer-aided design and manufacture, and the further vocational qualification as goldsmith. It also teaches the restoration artisan qualification, covering the restoration of walls, ceilings, floors and furniture parts of old wooden buildings with traditional methods, as well as cabinetmaking and interiors artisan programmes and a restoration master's qualification.
