Paris College of Art (PCA) is a private art and design college in Paris (boulevard Pereire, 17th arrondissement) that teaches entirely in English and awards American-accredited bachelor's and master's degrees; it is now an entity of Paris University, accredited by NECHE, and PCA itself is accredited by NASAD. Its programmes include a BFA in Fashion Design, offered since 1986 according to the school, in which students work as in a design studio from concept drawings and fabric selection to draping, pattern making and construction of garments, ending with a personal collection and portfolio; there is also an MA in Critical Fashion Practices. The school began in the 1980s as Parsons Paris and took its present name after becoming independent.
