In short
Peters Valley School of Craft is a non-profit craft school in Layton, New Jersey, inside the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which offers studio-based workshops taught by visiting artists. It grew out of the 1970 Peters Valley Craft Fair and incorporated as a non-profit in 1970, under the earlier name Peters Valley Craftsmen. The campus has studios for fibers and textiles, fine metals, glass, woodworking, blacksmithing, ceramics and printmaking; the school states that the anagama kiln built there in 1980 was the first built for public use in the United States.
