In short

Public Glass is a non-profit glass studio and school in the Bayview/Hunters Point neighbourhood of San Francisco, which states that it has been the city's only public access glass studio and school since 1996. It offers introductory classes and longer courses in glassblowing, including a course sequence designed to make students independent members of the studio, as well as fusing and slumping, flameworking, stained glass, casting and cold working, specialty workshops and private lessons. Members can rent its glassblowing, flameworking, stained glass, fusing and casting and cold shops, and its community programmes offer subsidised workshops to young people and seniors.
