The Faculty of Art and Design of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), on the university campus on Avenida Universitaria in San Miguel, Lima, offers the specialisations of Art, Fashion and Textile Design and of Industrial Design. The fashion and textile programme gives two years of artistic grounding followed by three years of specialisation in textile design, garment design, fashion collections, communication and management, taught through applied theory, workshops and laboratories, with attention to Peru's heritage of textiles, dress and accessories. The industrial design programme trains designers of products such as furniture, household goods, tools and packaging.
