In short
Riksglasskolan is a municipal glass school in Nybro, in the Swedish glass district, run by Nybro municipality. Its history goes back to a glass training programme started around 1960 at the Orrefors glassworks; the municipality took it over in 1969, and since 2014 the school has been based at the Pukeberg glassworks in Nybro. It offers a vocational programme in glass craft and design through Nybro adult education (wine glasses, bowls and vases, applied decoration, optical patterns, combining clear and coloured glass), a two-year Nordic programme in glass craft and design, and a higher vocational programme in design and art glass.
