In short
Riveria, the North Karelia education consortium owned by the municipalities of the region, is a multi-sector vocational education provider; its craft programmes are taught at the Peltola campus in Joensuu. The artisan programme in craft design covers objects in wood, metal and stone made with traditional methods and current technology, with specialisation in cabinetmaking, metalsmithing, stone carving or multi-material work, for example furniture, jewellery or small series. The vocational qualification in textiles and fashion offers four paths: design textiles, made-to-measure tailoring, interior textiles and textile care.
