In short
The Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin was founded in 1763 by Frederick the Great and is based today on Wegelystraße in Berlin. The manufactory states that it still works almost entirely by hand, following a process handed down for 260 years: a white coffee cup passes through 29 steps and the hands of 25 people, and every decoration is painted freehand by painters who sign their pieces with a small mark. The know-how is passed on inside the manufactory's workshops; the site does not describe a course open to the public.
