The Hendek Vocational School of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences stands in the organised industrial zone of Hendek, in Sakarya province, north-western Turkey. Its Industrial Product Design programme combines theory with computer and laboratory work and a period of vocational training in a company; under the university's "+1" model, students spend one semester working full time in a business. The school says graduates can work wherever design is needed, such as machinery, furniture and household appliances. The university also runs a Fashion Design programme at its Ferizli Vocational School and a Furniture and Decoration programme at its Kaynarca Seyfettin Selim Vocational School.
