In short

Sandefjord folkehøyskole is a non-denominational folk high school in Sandefjord owned by Vestfold County Council, with seven creative lines; the school states that it was founded as a county school in 1876, was known as Skiringssal until it took its present name on 1 January 2020, and was rebuilt in 2011. Its Fashion, Design and Redesign line teaches students to design and sew their own clothes, from everyday garments to evening wear, to draft their own patterns and to work with dyeing, printing, batik, knitting, crochet and embroidery. The line has a well-equipped sewing department and a study trip to Tokyo.
