In short

Sanming University is a full-time public undergraduate university run by the Fujian provincial government in Sanming, Fujian Province; it was established under this name in 2004 with Ministry of Education approval and traces its history to a normal school opened in 1903. Its School of Art and Design has departments of clothing and costume design and of product design, among others, and offers seven undergraduate programmes. The school states that it works with companies in the sector, including clothing firms.
