In short
Savonia University of Applied Sciences teaches design at its Microkatu campus in Kuopio, in the four-year Designer (Bachelor, 240 credits) programme. After a common first year in design thinking, communication, ideation and digital skills, students specialise in jewellery design, clothing design, industrial design, service design or interior architecture, learning the design process, visual expression and different making techniques. Studies include working-life projects with real clients, a placement and a thesis.
