In short
The Scuola di Restauro di Botticino was founded in 1974, according to the school with the support of the Lombardy Region and Rome's Istituto Centrale del Restauro, and is today run by Valore Italia in Milan, with its restoration workshops at the Bovisa Lab (via Cosenz 54). Its main course is a five-year programme for conservator-restorers of cultural heritage, equivalent to a single-cycle master's degree (LMR/02), with more than half of the activity carried out in workshops and on restoration sites. The study paths cover stone, wall paintings and decorated architectural surfaces; painted wood and canvas and carved wood; and textiles, tapestries, carpets, leather and hide.
