Shaanxi Fashion Engineering University is a private full-time undergraduate university specialising in fashion and art, located in Fengxi New City in the Xixian New Area of Xi'an. It began in 1994 as the Shaanxi Fashion Further Education College, became a higher vocational college in 2002 and took its present name with bachelor's programmes in 2011. Its College of Fashion teaches bachelor's degrees in clothing design and engineering and in fashion and accessory design, and also in gem and materials technology, together with associate programmes including jewellery design and craft and garment design and technology. The college has a provincial clothing experimental teaching centre with over thirty laboratories.
