The School of Innovation and Creative Design is part of Shenzhen Polytechnic University, a public undergraduate-level vocational university in Shenzhen that grew out of the Shenzhen Polytechnic founded in 1993. At undergraduate level it teaches industrial design and fashion goods design, the latter aimed at accessories, handicrafts and jewellery, with workshops for jewellery making, gem identification, diamond grading, ceramics, glass, metal, fibre and lacquer. Its diploma programmes include clothing and costume design, product art design, jewellery design and technology, and arts and crafts design covering ceramics, glass, metal, fibre and lacquer work.
