In short
The Department of Product Design of Shu-Te University of Technology was established in 1999 in Yanchao District, Kaohsiung, and focuses on standardised and customised products for everyday life. Its courses are built on three modules, industrial design, craft design and digital design, combining industrial design methods with digital computation and the material sense of craft, with competitions, industry links and eight-week international design programmes. It offers bachelor's degrees in day and continuing-education divisions and, since 2012, a part-time master's programme covering industrial and craft design with workshop-based creation.
