In short

The Society of Master Saddlers is a British saddlery trade body, formed in 1966, that describes itself as a membership organisation, a training provider and an end-point assessor. It designs and delivers saddle fitting and bridle fitting training pathways, including the City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Saddle Fitting, which combines online theory modules with practical sessions. Together with the Saddlers' Company it runs the Millennium Apprenticeship Scheme for saddlers, and it is piloting craft taster days and an introductory leather course. Its office is at Stoneleigh Park, near Kenilworth.
