In short

Solborg folkehøgskole is a folk high school at Tjensvoll, three kilometres from the centre of Stavanger; the school states that it has been running since 1913. Its Clothes, Fashion and Design line teaches sewing garments from sketch to finished piece, textiles and their care, redesign, knitting and crochet, and the use of different sewing machines and a vinyl cutter. The Drawing, Painting and Ceramics line works in a ceramics workshop with throwing wheels and two kilns, teaching clay types, hand-building and throwing techniques, glazing and clay recycling.
